His name is Stark. He becomes a regular in the season I haven't watched yet, but John first met him when he was being tortured by Scorpius the first time around. Stark helped saved him. He's a bit odd, that one.
But then they all are...
I think the writers could go for gold if they go for one plot idea that I can see working brilliantly here, but I don't know if they'll do it. In fact, I doubt they will. But main, would it work.
Short version: he's a stykera, a psychic whose role is guiding people across into death (using the light which shines from behind his mask).
Probably not un-related to this: he's more than somewhat unstable, although he tends to exaggerate the insanity and twitch and gibber more than strictly necessary when he wants people to back off.
Oh wow. Now I have sympathy for poor Stark. I have definitely not seen eps introducing his character. He's just been on the ship sometimes and not on it others, and I never got his connection to the rest of the crew and/or bad guys. This gives me enough to work with as I try and *watch* the episodes.
Crash course in shows. I did that with a Buffy marathon on F/X around season 4.
I'm curious who's dreamed up this particular crack idea.
I'm thinking it's Teal'c of the Science-Fiction genre fetish...although Sam has been known to watch them too, just to see if they get any of them right. LOL The idea of being Mitchell or Vala's ideas though...or better yet. Landry. Landry as a closet muppet fan. Sorry, spacing off in my Monday work craziness.
I *never* watched SG-1 in order, always out of order. So this summer, I made a point to watch them all consecutively (or as close as I could get with dvd order)...I cheated once. I couldn't get through Season 9 in time so I saw the premiere for S10 before I could get through the rest. It's funny how different the show appears that way. But wow. Ten seasons in a go? That's...either impressive or insane.
I want to watch more of Farscape. Syndication schedule's and mine are not gelling...I may break down and do the netflix route, but I'm resisting joining. I have no time now!
you should prolly look up thassalia, methinks! ;) she's new to the Stargate train, but she's a Scaper of great honour. And she writes MEAN porntastic fic. :).

Who's playing Stark in 200 anyway?

Hmm. Interesting plot idea? Now you have *me* curious.
BTW, I thought of your 200 fic when I read the newspaper's tv guide's summary of what's supposed to happen.
Yeah, the only thing I've been able to glean about Stark was he's odd...but that doesn't really make him stand out in this cast. LOL

I'm spoiled enough for "Farscape" (though I admit, spoilage comes in handy at times now that I'm trying unsuccessfully to watch more of the series).
Stark = crazy "dead like me" psychic. got it. :-D
