I love Alyson Hannigan's hair color (Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lily from How I Met your Mother, was in the American Pie movies). I am certainly not implying that Alyson's hair color is fake - I know hers is natural. But I love the color. I would like to get her hair color for myself. Trying to think. What's your natural hair color? That'll help determine the final product, and how much you'll need to lift the base color. I'd call her color a true natural red. Keep in mind that I buy all my hair stuff from Sally Beauty, so I'm not too familiar with consumer-oriented stuff.

Sometimes I miss my (fake) red hair, but, eh, I do better with black. Suits my personality more. :)

My natural hair color is a medium brown that would have lots of gray in it if I didn't dye it.

Heheheh, the front of my hair has almost as much silver as brown these days. I wish it would just change already, because silver hair would be amazing. :)

Since your hair is dyed, some of the underlying color is going to show through. Medium brown is pretty neutral, though, so unless it's a heavily green-based brown (fairly rare), you should get a gorgeous shade of red. Just look for the brightest red you can find and go for it.

Cute pic! :D I'm the Susan person who sent a friend request. Yeah, you can get a nice, rich red, no problem. Alyson's has some brown tones in it, IIRC, so your base color should work just fine. Post pics when it's done!
