I've got to say, its really starting to bother me that so much of our current world is geared towards Christianity. An example: Today in Lab, a survey was handed out. It was about coping mechanisms and family. Several of the questions were about going to Church to deal with problems and one directly asked if faith in God made my family feel better. Not only is this not the case at all for my family, but why couldn't they have put on a synagogue? Going one step further, why is God on a survey about coping mechanisms? Is that really how fucked up our society has become? God is no longer what he was created to be , but merely a coping mechanism for the lost and lonely and probably relatively stupid Christians in the world. Anyway, it just screamed SHEEP to me as I read it. I like Judaism simply because you can't use it as a crutch. You use it as an intellectual exercise more than a religion.
Wow...yes I'm having a Jew moment. I apologize if I offended anyone, although I think most of my friends on here are not any more religious than I am anyway. If you are religious though, I would love to hear your thoughts on what role God has in the Christian religion. I admit that I know very little, even after three years at a Catholic school.
