Played with kittens today.
It was their first day of human contact & they innitiated it. They came rolling out of the bushes meowing like crazy and asked to be picked up. Amazing.
There is one black boy, one brown tabby boy and one gray girl. The girl is a little shy, but doesn't mind being picked up. Of course, in comparison to her brothers "shy" isn't quite the right word. She's normal. They are BOLD.
The tabby is missing his tail. Something bit it off a while ago (they are about 2 weeks old), we think it was the raccoons. I told him he was lucky he didn't lose his head.
I'm thinking of calling him Shorty, but don't want to get attached because of the high mortality rate of crunchy kitten snacks due to raccoons. He likes to sit in my lap and purrs a lot.
The black one had a tick that we removed. He is very friendly and very fat. He's playful, inquisitive & a little too bold for a kitten that small. I think he gets it from his daddy.
The gray girl is very pretty. She's got charcoaled eyes and is a wonderful soft uniform gray. She may get stripes as she ages. Her ears are super-cute. Very tiny & almost rounded.
They all still have blue eyes, but will probably be gold because their mommy has gold, one daddy has gold, the other green.
Princess is a good mommy. I hope they make it through the raccoon gauntlet. I hope we can find good homes for them.
