Yep, suikoden 5 hooked me

HC and akycha were kind enough to feed my gamer sweet tooth with Persona3 and SuikodenV. I haven't had a chance to dive into P3 yet; I tried it while visiting parents but found Mom to be a less-than-ideal spectator. Now I've jumped into Suikoden. I was thoroughly schlorped over the weekend

I absolutely love Suikoden V, for all the reasons you mention. The game does not hesitate to rip your heart out over and over again, and it doesn't take much to completely love everyone.

I adore Lucretia, but Sialeeds -- in all her boobtastic glory -- is my favorite.

We got over 100 hours of gameplay out of S5, and the thrill of shrieking, "CANON LESBIAN!" at least once.

I suspect that you may be partially right about the sales. I also suspect that Suikoden 4, which was much less competently done, also went a ways toward killing sales for the franchise. I think that if S5 had followed S3, it would have done MUCH better.

Sialeeds does indeed rock. I can't help being superficial and seeing a bit of Lulu in her (partly it's the hair-over-one-eye thing).

For the canon lesbians, were you thinking of Lucretia and her guard Lelei, or are there other fine souls I have yet to meet?
