And yet again, your writing has made me genuinely fall for Shannon/Sayid! I love this: your Shannon voice is wonderful, and as heavy as this may be, a few of her lines really made me smile because they were so snarky and so perfectly her. I really like that she internalized what Sayid said at Boone's funeral, that referring to him as a hero comes naturally. This paragraph in particular was awesome:

They all stand staring awkwardly at one another. Shannon can see the guilt on Hurley’s and Sayid’s face, the grief on Sun’s, the fear on Kate’s, and the confusion on Jack’s. Shannon doesn’t know what’s the matter with all of them. They’ve just been rescued. Isn’t that all anyone’s been talking about for months? She’s with Frank; now’s the time to jump and cheer, but no one’s cheering with her. Desmond’s the only one who shares the sentiment and he’s busy schtupping his girlfriend.I LOVE this, love the disconnect between what she and others are feeling. It makes so much sense--and now I'm feeling an overwhelming rush of affection for ( ... )

Thank you SO SO SO MUCH for the lovely comment! I love this kind of feedback. I always loved Sayid's speech at Boone's funeral. I cried like a baby while he gave it, and that was the moment when I really believed that he cared deeply for Shannon, random as the whole thing was.

The O6 plotline would have been so much better with Shannon. Hell, everything is so much better with Shannon. Sigh. At least we have fic!

Oh, how I have missed Shannon and Sayid! She was my favorite character, I haven't really enjoyed the show since she died.

I loved Shannon and Boone so much. I still love the show, but the show is missing something without it's resident snarky not-earnest character. Sigh.

Loved this! I've wondered how the O6 storyline would have been different with Shannon, looking forward to the next bit (will she encounter Nadia?)

Bizarrely enough I actually had the same idea for Boone being the one who was rescued instead, but that's gonna be one for after the luau!

Alas, she has to run into Nadia either in the next part or the one afterwards (weeps, because I love Shayid).

I hope you do write that! I love AUs like that and I ADORE Boone. Yay!

Yes, I always wanted Shannon to come back and see the relationship between her and Sayid.It was so rich and unique and fun. He really cared for her and the interaction btw them 2 was just exquisite..

I felt the same way! They had by far the most fun relationship on the show. I never really bought Nadia; Sayid and Shannon seemed so much more realistic, crazy and mismatched as they were. That's how real people get together. They flirt and are silly and go on dates. Sigh.
