Characters: Mohinder, Sylar, Molly, Maya
Rating: PG-13
Words: 3823
Summary: A missing scene from Powerless
A/N: I know fics don't usually come with attachments, but describing the semi-unique way the F train cars are set up (it's different from most lines) took too many words and distracted from the story. So, THIS is the platform they stand on, and Read more... )

Wow, I loved this! I'd always wanted to see what happened on the journey to the lab - I was imagining the most awkward cab ride EVER - but this is great. I think you captured the whole Sylar/Mohinder dynamic really well, and how they could understandably get along really well if it wasn't for the unfortunate serial killer thing.

He had to close his eyes and concentrate on not licking the doctor. HEE. Poor Sylar. I'd have to concentrate pretty hard too.

Thanks! At first, I thought they would take a taxi, too, but then I remembered that it's really a lot harder to just pick one up on the street in Brooklyn than it is in Manhattan, and it's a pretty straight shot from where I've told myself they live in Brooklyn. And also because I feel like Mo and Sy are the kinds of people who don't automatically take taxis. They are subway people, like most people. :)

Yeah, I think the most fascinating part of Mylar for me is exactly that potential---of seeing how fantastically well they could have gotten along if not for the other stuff. It's was makes it so horribly tragic, like out of one of your ancient stories.

I would have so much trouble not nibbling on Mohinder, too, if I was that close. Mmm.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this!

omg I love this line! Made me go "Stay strong Sylar!" in my head. XD

This was excellent. You did a great job of showing both the tension of the situation and the wonderful dynamic that Sylar and Mohinder have with one another. The comfortable moments had me grinning from ear to ear.

*sigh* Poor darlings. They could have been so happy together if not for the whole serial killer thing...

Hee! We did post comments at the same time! :P

Made me go "Stay strong Sylar!" in my head.
Hahahaha!

I know! They really could have been so perfect for one another... it's so heartbreaking---the most heartbreaking thing on the show. I wish we could have more comfortable moments on the show. We sort of had one just before Sylar shot Maya... more please! I'm so glad you liked this and that it made you smile!

This fic was amazing. Poor Sylar all he wanted was to bone his momo :P

Best line ever lol. I should not read fics at the library. I startled the person next to me with my laughter.

Yeah, I tried reading at the library once too, thankfully on my own laptop, not on one of the library computers, but I still felt awkward laughing at some crack.

I'm so glad you liked this! Thanks for reading and commenting. :)

You know what I love about Sylar fans? That we are so engrossed in making sure everyone understands precisely what is happening, we'll include annotated pictures in our fics. (I mean that completely sincerely. I've agonized over things before, not wanting to spend a whole paragraph describing a room, but desperately wanting to make sure it's clear exactly where everyone is sitting at a table, and exactly where the window is in relation to them ( ... )

I felt like such a dork making the annotated picture, but I was like, "This is necessary." It's also kind of a nice picture just in general.

While reading, I had quickly forgotten they were there and was kind of snapped out of a reverie myself when they started whispering to each other.
Yay! *pats self on back and grins*

I'm to the point where I want to see them reach a detente
Seriously. It's not like they have other friends. It's time for Sylar and Mohinder to shut up and take down the company. If they don't do something along those lines next season, I'll be annoyed. They really would work amazingly as a team, and the frisson of bitchy, resentful tension would of course remain, and make it even hotter than two people who don't have all those issues. I sort of imagine that scene in The Bourne Identity where the German girl has to go into the hotel to ask for a receipt or something, and badass Jason comes up with this really ridiculously elaborate plan, but Marie just waltzes in and accomplishes the task without any fuss, and then ( ... )

Ooh!! I was just watching Powerless on the train earlier, so it was awesome to come home and read this and "fill in the gap".

This was really good, I enjoyed the interaction between Mohinder and Sylar and how easily they slip into natural conversation before reaslising they aren't meant to get along as well as they want to.

I loved Sylar and his desperation for closeness with Mohinder and his fascination with a man he hasn't seen in over four months. And having to restrain himself from licking Mohinder <3 lol.

And I really liked Molly's cluelessness (just because she is too young to see what is there) and I really liked how Maya was aware of the connection between Mohinder and Sylar and the hostility he had towards her.

Fabbity fab

Yeah, it's just too bad, because they're meant to get along really well, but they aren't supposed to. They're supposed to be enemies. Sigh. It took me so many years to recognize weird drunk men on the subway and to know what the paper bag meant, so yeah, Molly would totally be clueless. :)

Lucky you! I really wanted to watch the episode again before I wrote this, but my internet was too spaztic for Netflix to load it properly. I'm glad I could fill in the gap for you! Thanks for reading.
