I'm back! Missed you all but had a wonderful time, we had some of the best weather we've had at the cottage all years - days when the air was warm, the sky was blue, the lake was smooth as glass and warm, perfect for swimming and canoeing! We did one lazy canoe ride along the shoreline where it was surprisingly shallow and sandy, and perved on some ( Read more... )

Welcome back girlie, I've been missing you!

Sounds like the cottage was exactly what you needed, apart from the sunburn! I remember your hair parting used to burn all the time too, or were you a good girl and wore a hat? ;)

At least now you're not working you can spend the time you need to in preparing for all-you-need-to-know-about-Studies-in-Education, or, OISE!

Ha. Ha ha. Ha. I did wear a hat actually, one of Adam's, but my scalp is permanently burnt I think. Although, here it tends to fade a bit over winter, but as soon as the sun gets that bit stronger, BAM red again. And it doesn't go away all summer. I know I should wear a hat more but I hate getting a sweaty head - makes my scalp itch!

Can't you hear Dad, getting stuck into you about skin cancer etc etc etc......

I'm the same as you though, either I wear a hat (bucket hats are best!) or I use spray on sun block. It's a clear spray so you can't see it - marvelous stuff!

Speaking of Dad, it's late notice I know but Father's Day is this Sunday. It's a different time of year over there isn't it?

Yeah, they have it the month after Mother's Day - wow it's September already! I forgot about Father's Day, there's no advertising or anything to remind me. Are you taking him out or anything?

We have to go to Bruny this weekend so I've arranged with Mum to go out on Monday night for tea. I think Tara & Rainier are coming then too, so they can do something for Neville on Sunday. We'd like to get Renee to come up but can't see that happening!

Tara and Ranier are back? I didn't know! If that's the case, I should try calling her at home.

Renee emailed me ages ago that she wanted to call me and tell me all about it all, but she still hasn't. What's a good number to reach her on? What's Tara's number, actually? Can you email me their numbers? (And maybe tell me what's going on with Renee? I am so out of the loop it's embarrassing!)
