This entry on the Peaceful Rise blog is really interesting. I can't say that I would have even thought of it myself, but the Chinese government has put up posters on etiquette and how to interact with foreigners during the Olympic Games - including eight "don't ask" questions:
Don't ask about income or expenses, don’t ask about age, don't ask about love life or marriage, don't ask about health, don't ask about someone’s home or address, don't ask about personal experience, don't ask about religious beliefs or political views, don't ask what someone does.
Doesn't really leave much does it? Though I can't imagine they'd talk much about religious or political views anyway. In a way, it's kinda sweet.
I've nicked these two photos from the same blog, just cause they're so funny yet strangely endearing:
At least someone's excited about the Games!
