Yesterday was a lot of fun. In the morning me and Trav went yard-saling. We are forever on the lookout for Disney pins, but for some reason I don't think we are going to find any while wandering around Vancouver garage sales. Just a hunch. Anyways, we didn't find anything, though we did find someone's ENTIRE collection of Disney videos. We didn't have that much money, so Trav bought pokemon from them instead and he's been playing it a lot yesterday and for most of last night while I was reading.
THEN, after the yard-saling, we went to Bill Monroe's birthday party. For those of you (which is probably all of you, I'm realizing now) who don't know Bill, he is a drag queen here in Vanvouver. He's fabulous, and he was turning 70! Yes, I said 70. He doesn't look a day over 45, that bitch. :-P So me and Trav and his mom and Les and his grandmother (who I absolutely adore) and their friend Gayle went, and we had a good time. There were SO many people crammed into that little bar, it wasn't even funny. And I think that Trav and I were the only "straight" couple (by straight I mean, opposite sex) in there. I'm serious. And the waitress was really cute and wearing my pants. Well, some exactly like them anyways. But it was a really good show and I'm glad he had a good birthday.
After that we went home and watched Kill Bill. It was interesting, but I thought that the second volume was actually much better. *shrug* But that's just my opinion. Tonight we have Exalted again, so that should also be fun, if I don't get dizzy and have a stupid migraine again this game. For some reason that happened last time. I got dizzy and nausious and didn't want to game, I just wanted to go home and go to sleep. It was so weird, I haven't had that sort of vertigo for a while with my migraines. Trav worries about me because I get headaches all the time. I think they mostly spring up when I forget to eat all day and my body is saying 'BAD ME.' They are rarely bad enough for me to not want to do ANYTHING, though the ones with dizziness but no pain are really wierd. I don't really understand them at all, except that I know once it got so bad that I walked into a parked car because I had tunnel vision. This was AFTER telling myself "Don't walk into that parked car!" and then I did. I was surprised I got home without incident, really.
I need to get some work done today. Mike isn't here, so maybe he won't come home and I will have a nice quiet day at home by myself with which to work in. He hasn't been home a lot lately, he's been going out at one in the morning to go play Magic when he knows he has class at eight the next morning. Not terribly responsible, but since I started treating him like he is actually 16 and not 20 everything makes a whole lot more sense. I found out more information about that girl who was over here. Her name is Lindsay. She is one of the ones with the boyfriend. Then I found something else out about what they DID while they were over here that I'm not going to go into. All I can say is I hope he knows what he is doing, becauses so far as I've seen he makes horrible decisions. *shrug* Well, whatever. We're thinking as soon as I get a job to get a new roommate anyways. Or a new place to live. One or the other.
