Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
I’m not sure, I’ve only really written WIPs and I didn’t really start till September. I actually finished a fic though. It’s not my best but I’m kind of proud of it.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2006?
I’m writing a Veronica Mars fic and I hadn’t even seen the show before January last year.
What's your favourite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest? There’s some lines in ‘Yes, They Have the Money’ for Wash I wrote after seeing the movie for the first time *sniff*. There’s also an argument between Giles and Andrew in ‘Things Born of Fire’ which I enjoyed writing.
Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?
I’m not sure what I learnt maybe that fan fiction is really difficult to write and when it’s for a really good quality show that’s even tougher. I learnt to let go of my stories a little more, the importance of having a beta,
noandwhere and
rowanceleste you guys are the best. I also learnt some ways to get me through writing - e.g. if I’m writing a third person scene I’m struggling with change it to first person then back again.
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
I want to write more, a lot more and not make people have to wait so long - sorry anybody who reads any of me WIP’s. There’s a Buffy fanfic I’ve got waiting in the wings and a few short VM fics in mind. I want to work on some of my original work too.
