This evening I laughed and was really feeling it....

Mike is still on nights(blah) so he has gone on to work now. He was being silly before he went and I laughed. I don't know how to describe it other that it was a real serious laugh, you know, honest-to-goodness joy behind it. It has been a while. I've got a good life. I've got good kids (well except this week they are super hyper for some reason)(nah, they are still good - just super energy charged!) I also have a husband who is trying really hard to make everything good. (I DO notice it, hon) Sometimes I just forget about all the good stuff. I don't mean to.
Today I feel like I accomplished something - Eileen's holiday dress is done! She will be very pretty for her Christmas concert at school, and for the family portrait we are getting done on Saturday. It is a gift for my mum. (The portrait, not the dress! lol) I also have a brilliant, imho, plan for a gift for my new little nephew. He will be just over 6 months at Christmas and he already likes to be read to. So I'm thinking, I will decorate my mantle early for the holidays, put a fire in the fireplace, dress Eileen up in her new dress, and have her sit in our rocking chair and read "Twas the Night Before Christmas". I'll film it and burn it to a disc. That would be a priceless gift, right? I think so. Mike even wants to send a copy to his mum. I am so pleased with the idea. I think I may need a tripod. My camera shoots video, so I should be good for that. I'll just have to lock up the cats and get Mike to take Tynan out for icecream. I really hope we can manage it. I don't think my home-made gifts are going to be quite what they are expecting!!! I hope they are delighted by it. I wish I could see my nephew, but we can't up and fly to Newfoundland. He's getting so big now.

So that was my day - I sewed the dress and it fits!!! I made pea soup, it was delish! It was a successful day.
Goodnight all.
Sweet dreams
