When night comes it doesn't mean time to rest. In Quor'toth night means the predators will be hunting in full force. Connor has learned to be extra alert the moment the dual suns set, and the temperatures drop to something just short of freezing. His father and him take turns resting, but mostly they stand guard. They prefer to think like predators than prey, and it comes naturally to both of them to do so.

At night it is nearly impossible to see what is lurking off in the not-so-far distance. It's hard to tell what is creeping up on you until you see a flash of teeth, claws or eyes. Connor has learned to track them before they can track him. He moves quickly and efficiently across the land, eyes alert, body tense, hunting the demons before they can hunt him. Here he is a predator and he makes them prey.

Night means it's time to do what he does best; track. The truth is, Connor prefers night to day because this is what he excels at. He is the destroyer, and he'll destroy them before they can hurt him or his dad.
