V. Strange, V. Strange indeed... I have ordered a father's day gift from the United States... and I am once again forced to question the logic of the americans... don't get me wrong, they're very nice people... but why would you send a package coming to Calgary through Illinois???? It started in Florida, toured around there, which kinda annoyed me actually because it takes 5 hours for them to put it on the next truck once they take it off... so when you have several destinations in 1 state, it's an extra 10-15 hours... however...
After Florida, it rolled its way up to South Carolina... makes sense... we have to go up to Canada after all... but this is where the logic ends....
Illinois isn't under Alberta.... it is in fact approximately 1200 miles away from the province. Why then, would you send it through Illinois? Why would you not put it on a truck making the diagonal line to Seattle, which I believe is directly under Alberta (I'm terrible at geography). Seems to me that the shortest distance would be in a diagonal line, isntead of doing the tour du monde of random states and provinces...
Wow.. if I ran the world, packages would arrive faster. Everyone should just put me in charge.
I also really wish the people that shipped it... as polite as they were, would tell me where they shipped it TO. I put down my home address at first, then it struck me as unwise to send a father's day gift by UPS truck to a location the father might be home to pick it up at. Inevitably.. we all know what would happen in my house... People here seem to have a fancination with couriered stuff... they see it.. go OOOO! BOX! and just have to open it to take just one little peek. Now granted, closed boxes are very facinating things, I'm sure... but if it doesn't have your name on it... LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE! LOL. I've gone off on a tangent again... So I emailed the people I placed the order with and said if you haven't shipped it yet, please change the shipping address to my work address... that way Sonya can either sign for it if I'm busy, or I can sign for it and garuntee that certain fathers will not see it before Father's Day.
Speaking of Fathers, maybe I should shower and such since I am supposed to be driving my dad to the hospital...
Oh yeah, before I go NEEEEEEEEEMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! heheeh, Finding Nemo was AWESOME! It ROCKED BEYOND BELIEF! I am SO buying that movie when it comes out... muahaha, NEMO! Everyone should see it, it's about as close to Universal appeal you will ever get...
Essentially, if you liked Toy Story, Shrek, Monsters Inc or some similar movie... you will LOVE this one... but it's just twisted enough to have humour for adults and kids... god it was cute! Maybe I will have to pay a visit to the Disney Store.... *twitches* Must Find Nemo Plushies!
