I noticed that most of you don't seem to know about the Holidays, let alone Christmas, so I thought I'd take the time to explain it. I'm sure it would satisfy the curiosity of some of you, and for the rest, it would increase your knowledge of other worlds.
The 25th of December is Christmas Day, and it commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. He is the son of God in Christianity, a religion in my world. Christmas is more than just an occasion to exchange gifts - Jesus gave up His life to save my people from sin. We celebrate the date of His birth to show that we remember His sacrifice, which we try to ensure was not made in vain. Ultimately, it is still up to my people to cleanse ourselves of Original Sin - but that is another story entirely.
Frankly, I am quite curious about the religions of other worlds. Do you worship a single entity or many? Are your gods cruel or benevolent? Do they reside in the mortal plane, or is the only way you can reach them through prayer?
I am in the mood for intelligent discussion - or interesting conversation, at least.
