First or all I am relieved to say that I now only have one small item to purchase to complete my Christmas shopping, and it isn't a must have - however, that hasn't stopped me from being annoyed that I can't find one of them.
I'll admit that I tend to go a bit overboard at Christmas. This year, not including my husband and three little ones left me with 15 people to buy for and that is lower than in previous years because my brother went into the army and can't have anything with him since he'll be in boot and my husband's brother and sister along with BIL and SIL decided we would all only buy for the kids this year. Anyway it's no so much that I spend a ton of money, but that I am a very careful shopper, and no one ever believes that I can get as much as I have for my own kids for as little money. I will brave any crowd for a really good deal. Truthfully my oldest usually has a list about a mile long of items ranging from about 20 to 50 dollars, but this year she asked for a hula hoop and a jump rope. Which brings me to my rant (finally, I know) I cannot find a flipping jump rope anywhere. I went to Target, Walmart, The Dollar Tree, Dick's Sports, and Toys r Us and there is nary a one to be found. The first time she asks for modest gifts and I can't find one of them. It freaking figures.
Note, I haven't given up, but the hardest thing to find with all that I have to buy should not be a jump rope.
I was also pleased that this year, she was happy to pick an item on her short list to take to her school for their angel tree girft drive. Though I did have to nudge her into calling it an angel tree gift instead of a toy for the poor kids.
Moving on....
I have been watching a lot of different anime lately. You see I found
this site, which is really pretty awesome for keeping track of anime you have watched, are, watching, want to watch, and have given up on. You can also keep track of what episode you are in a certain series. Then in your profile it tells you how much of your life you have spent watching anime. They have a huge list with a series synopsis for each as well as recs. Like say you are on the InuYasha page below it will be al ist of "you might like' and reasons why.
So here is what I have watched recently and what I am watching now:

Now here is where you all come in. I am probably getting a gift card to a book store for Christmas and am trying to decided if I am going to use it to buy some manga, preferably one from one of my complete anime series so that I can pick the story back up. Recommendations?
Also any series you love?
And is Bleach really worth it? I've watched about 10 episodes and just can't get into it. It's such a long series that I don't want to invest too much time in watching If it's not really worth it. Thought I'm willing to give it another try if someone really thinks it's worth the commitment.
Feel free to ask me about any of the series above if you want to know what I thought before rec'ing anything.
