In desperate need of help!

Okay, so not so much desperate, but those who game: help me the fuck out!

We all know that I play WoW. Although I admit, a lot less lately. And I have the entire Sims 2 collection on my computer and am desperately waiting for Apartment Life to come out (despite the fucking SecuRom issues...which fucked up my CD burner). I just finished playing Vampire the Masquerade, which all in all, awesome! There was a lot less reloading after final deaths and screwing up on quests than I thought. Maybe it helped having my persuasion really high.

But I realized something, in the meantime. I really really really like RPGs. I'm a story person. If I can immerse myself in the story, I am so much happier. I've never been particularily good at FPS (seriously? Wolfenstein 3D, despite being really crappy in the graphics department now, still makes me jump occasionally). I played Kingdom Hearts 2 for awhile in the city, before I moved away, and I fell in love with that game, too.

Can y'all suggest something to me? PC-wise, mainly (and please remember that my computer can barely handle the Sims 2 with all its expansions, so anything like Oblivion would end up blowing the hell out of it). I AM planning on picking up a Final Fantasy game or two for the PS2, but I need something to scratch my itch in the meantime.

Please keep in mind that I thoroughly research games before I download them, so I will be checking out reviews and message boards before installing, just to see if it would appeal to me. And yes, I realize that I'm far behind and probably should've played the Final Fantasy games long before, but I'm slow. We've learned that. Lord of the Rings trilogy still sucks in my opinion.

And as an aside, I have to say, after playing through Vampire the Masqerade (hey, I'm not stupid. I picked myself a Toreador, although I plan on playing through again as a Nosferatu or Malkavian, just to see the difference...and have conversations with stop signs), I really miss roleplaying. Damn it! Now I have to find myself some sort of online game or message board.

Apologies for a full on geek post. We will now return you to your regular life.
