Reading on and off since book's arrival late afternoon (no thank you, work).
Now I'm about half way through and...
1. A tall black boy with a pretty gold-digging mother, and we suspected you were Italian -- possibly female. Oh, Blaise Zabini, you totally kneed all expectation in the groin, times twenty. XD LOVE FOR YOU.
2. The "Slug Club?" Somehow this disappoints me.
3. Oh, my god, HBP = Voldie? Come on. At this point, the book is way too obvious so I'm going to hope there's a super secret twisty ending. That involves fat walrus man, maybe.
4. About time. YAY for Draco finally getting the attention he deserves, but boo because we all know J.K. is going to make him pay for that. T_T But Narcissa? And Snape? Both rock my feet coverings mightily. I'm so confident Snape is not actually a traitor, but we'll see.
5. WHY ARE YOU SAD, TONKS? Is the Tonks + Merope's Get Sad And Lose Your Magic Club supposed to lead to something potentially meaningful?
6. Speaking of Merope: Renewed appreciation for J.K. Merope = HAHA, GREEK MYTHOLOGY ALLUSION MUCH? Tom Sr. = Sisyphus? Oooh, will this lead to something in the future? :O Ooor, maybe she meant one of the meeelion other Meropes in mythology? -_-;; But still.
7. I feel like such a petty human being that this bothers me the most thus far, but WHAT, DO I DETECT HARRY/GINNY? And she handles it like a fic-writer. Like when have I NOT seen the confused and vaguely jealous Harry? If Ginny does not stay with Dean, awe, Harry, we can't be friends anymore. T_T
and a little later on~
8. Okay. I really love who Ginny Weasley has grown up to be, but HARRY, STOP IT. I was actually really happy when he asked Luna to the dinner because I thought to myself after reading OotP, if Harry must be straight, I give full blessings to Harry/Luna, as awkward as it is. Because I am such a Luna fan. But if she does Luna/Neville (and yes, I do mean L/N and not N/L, seeing as N/anybody is impossible), I will again be disappointed.
9. Harry is really effing rude. I almost don't like it.
10. Ha. It's Voldemort, isn't it. (no question mark because none is required.) UNLESS I'M WRONG. If I'm wrong. I will be so happy. The end.
and even later:
.....
isitsnape?
I'm so used to reading HP and having my pants shocked off in an entirely exhilarating and logical way. Blaise was a :O, but minus that and Draco (who will be punished for trying to win for once before the series is through, I'm certain T_T), this series is starting to stagnate, I think. I'm more than half way through, and I still feel... not so much for this. Up to the fourth book, every chapter was fantastically consuming, and even in the fifth book, the SHOCKER ending and brilliant hate evoked for Umbridge kept me excited to the end, but this book.
Maybe I'm expecting too much, but Rowling... is disappointing me so far. Why does this book feel so predictable? I hope I'm totally wrong so I can maintain faith. I hope it's little Creevey after all. WHERE ARE YOU AND YOUR FLASHING CAMERA, BTW?
Ha, I think I've probably just read way too many good fanfics.
Back to read the rest. Awe, HPB, YOU'RE SQUISHING INTO MY EXERCISE TIME... and I really should exercise.... but put you down any longer I cannot. T_T
