there's only this - forget regret
Name ten of life's simple pleasures that you like most, and then pick ten people to do the same. Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used.
1. Eating good food outside, on grass, in the sun, with your hands.
2. Finding a song - or hearing one, in public - that you absolutely love.
3. Staying up until 2AM talking on the phone; and ending with saying and hearing "goodnight," knowing it was most likely the last thing heard before sleep.
4. Being approached by someone saying something to the effect of, "OMG, listen, I've been really wanting to tell you this for the longest time because I thought you'd really like it -"
5. Being followed around by a cat.
6. When flowers bloom - tulips lavender hydrangeas - and you know it's because you actually remembered to water them.
7. Opening your inbox or message board and finding 15 things you want to reply to RIGHT NOW.
8. When it's fall or winter, and sunrise pours in through the windows, when it glows off the waters and makes everything reddishgold, and especially when it's cool and misty at this time and everyone's too tired to even understand half of what they're saying. ^//^
9. Seeing someone you know in a public place where you didn't expect them to be, and smiling uncontrollably - and okay, this is (to me) more embarrassing than it is pleasaurable, but still. :D :D
10. Singing an unrehearsed duet.
I'll define simple pleasures here, for me, to be those things that fall into my lap, rather than what I have to work for - i.e. good grades or drawing something good or a good passage or something. :D And I tag...Stephanie, Jenae, Hoshi/Madsqueeble, M-chan, and since that rounds off my Livejournal list, Andrea and Cate and Dylan too, since I now know that you read this occasionally, and De even though I know you don't read this at all, you stupid idiot, and...whee. You.
Went to the Lavender Festival yesterday...the ice cream is so, so good. <3 And so was the salad dressing. Took a bunch of pictures, will probably upload some later. Probably not of me. But maybe. I don't know. My head either looks too round or too long or just too wrong entirely in photos. ;P
I can't wait until school starts again. ;x;
