You know, it would be nice to leave work occasionally without some semi-serious, disgusting battle wound. Like I mentioned in chat, I managed t get burned by the bread tray today. Right after they took it out of the convection oven. It was well over 400 degrees. The cook barely grazed my arm with it and it still managed to leave a 3 inch long, one inch wide burn on my forearm. Also? That slight, quick graze? Appears to have melted along half my skin with it. It's like it has a big hole where the initial impact took place and then you can see where the skin was melted and pushed back along thewound. How fucking gross. Grosser still is the scar I will surely have. Hell, the scar from my mishap with the splash guard is still purple and that happened two months ago. How sad is it that I care ittle about the impending pain, the difficulty of showering with warm water, etc etc, instead choosing to care about the very visible and ugly scar I will have? Yes, because people often look at the underneath of my forearm. It's always this arm, too. Why? Why are all the wounds on my LEFT arm? I even have a splinter. In my left arm.
