I'm thankful for family

I haven't been on LJ in so long.
I don't really remember how to write entries. xD

Thanksgiving's alright.
It's definately not my favorite holliday though. This Thanksgiving was just my mom, dad, my elderly neighbor and I. Amber's down in Florida with Pete and all of my other relatives have to be fucking Canadians. Ah. Who am I kidding, I love being a Canuck. Their Thanksgiving was months ago, though.
It's times like these that I really feel like i'm the only one with a small family. Everyone I know has tons of relatives over for the hollidays...and they all live in rhode island, too. And for some reason they all hate having family over. I like having a small family, I just hate the fact that we're spread out over so much distance. I've been emailing my 7 year old cousin though, which has been making me happier. He's really coherent for a 7 year old.

I remember the last time I went up to Montreal (this summer), I took him to the park across the street from my grandparent's house and we sat on the swings. I remember him telling me how all of his friends have cousins nearby and he wished that I lived near him so that I could see him every day.
I really miss my cousins, they're all such cuties. I only get to see them once a year if that.

Your family is full of the only people you can truly be yourself around. Full of people with great stories to tell. Full of people with a direct genetic link to you. Full of people who will love you no matter what.

Seeing your family is really not something you should take for granted. Ever.
