This is my first attempt at songwriting in about a year, so here goes nothin
A year later
(verse)
I don't even know if I'm goin in the right direction,
or if when I arrive I'll need protection,
A void so dark the brightest candles can't light,
Hoping I'm alive and well after the night,
(prechorus)
Please tell me...
(chorus)
What kind of man can I expect to be,
when it's hard to be brave and hard to be daring,
Compass is spinning so fast out of control,
gotta land on my feet, I gotta find my bearing,
all through this black hole of cluelessness
Like trying to do a crossword puzzle without the clues,
I can't even walk a mile in someone else's shoes,
My energy grows smaller with every single breath
Whats a nine letter word for scared to death
Please tell me...
What kind of man can I expect to be,
when it's hard to be brave and hard to be daring,
Compass is spinning so fast out of control,
gotta land on my feet, I gotta find my bearing,
all through this black hole of cluelessness
(bridge)
When curtain number one is as scary as the other two,
You don't know what you're getting, the decisions overwhelming you
if you don't make you're just going to fall behind
And if you had a weekend just to figure it out,
Maybe you ould find what the madness is all about
Then monday morning you know that you're gonna be fine
What kind of man can I expect to be,
when it's hard to be brave and hard to be daring,
Compass is spinning so fast out of control,
gotta land on my feet, I gotta find my bearing,
all through this black hole of cluelessness
