Why was the coding for the appearance of suspended journals changed? I shouldn't have to install a greasemonkey code to retain the linkability of a lj-user tag.

I understand that you guys can choose want content you want here. That's not a problem. But it is a problem when you take pictures that are ambiguous to whether or not they depict fictional minors, and use them to permanently and irrevocably suspend accounts. The pictures weren't unlawful, so there was no reason why no warning could be issued in these cases.

Finally, if you are going to be in the business of policing content in such a way (any time you move beyond the laws and refuse to give specific clarification, that opens up a legal can of worms, by the way), why not start with actual harmful content, like pro-ana communities.

I've been a member of anti_ana for ages, and I understood LJ's old policy to uphold free speech to the fullest. Since that is no longer the case, it is deplorable that you would ignore such harmful communities, and even worse that your staff believes that a community that encourages 1/2/3 diets, thinspiration, goal weights of BELOW 90 LBS, and gives diseases cutesy names like "ana" or "mia" would be considered a support group. It's just as deplorable as telling a schizophrenic it's all right to go off their meds.
