A Walk Around Lake Balboa

Lake Balboa is another part of the Sepulveda Dam Recreation Area. It is an artificial lake fed by water from the Tillman Water Reclamation Plant. On Tuesday, Buddy and I circumnavigated the lake. We stalked this heron for a while. This picture shows how close we were able to get.

There are signs that say, "Do Not Feed the Birds." I found people not only feeding them, but also photographing each other feeding them.

The park was inhabited by young mothers with little children, middle-aged people with elderly parents, people of all descriptions with their dogs, as well as ducks, geese and......



As I was tiring and wondering how much further I had to walk, I looked ahead and realized I was almost where I had started.
