(no subject)
Poor little Zoe's not enjoying her distempter shot. It seems it can do a bit of a number on our little furry friends, much like a flu shot with little kids - they sometimes feel pretty crappy for a day or so afterwards and then they're fine. So I'm crossing my fingers that she'll feel better tomorrow but in the meantime, she's eating, and swatting at her toy when I dangle it in front of her, so I'm doing my best to rein in my anxious cat-mama worries.
I'm trying to cross a few things off my to-do list today. Not much is happening because it's a holiday and no one is open. Yesterday, when people were in the office, I was busy running around all over town, and when I finally sat down for five minutes before moving on to the next task, I actually fell asleep in my chair. Which was significantly inconvenient and made the rest of the afternoon more difficult than it needed to be while I tried to get everything else done. But then it was off to lyda_pearl's for a cookout, which was lovely. We played with the dogs, had yummy food, sat out a brief rainstorm and then saw a rainbow. Too bad the evening ended with one of my teeth going into nuclear meltdown mode. Lots of advil and an ice pack eventually settled it down to 'ow' instead of 'omgwtf!?!' and it feels mostly better today, but finding a dentist and getting this taken care of is on the list of things to do. This may take some creative financing to resolve, but that's life, I suppose.
