Internet Musically Challenged...

Alright, so I'm one of those sick, sick people that actually LIKES listening to Christmas Holiday music during the holidays. But it seems that my favorite standard radio station has changed it's format and will not be playing Christmas music this year. Does anyone know of a radio station that is doing this? Or a streaming audio radio station on the ( Read more... )

You're sick.

I think I OWN enough holiday music (hey, there's lots of waltzes!) to keep you entertained for awhile.

Otherwise, I believe you can find your fix at Launch - last I checked the Launchcast player was free (with ads), as opposed to Rhapsody, which isn't.

In other news, Whitton and I are DJing FNW tonight so you should come.
Sadly, there will be no xmas music.

I believe that I caveated the sick part up front. (checking) Yes, yes, I did. Thank you for the suggestions. I'll check into them. The radio station that I used to listen to started on Nov. 1st. I'm going into withdrawals... AH!

I plan to attend tonight. It will be good to see you both! :-D

I'll bet I've got more holiday music than you do, Sam! :-)

Do you have the Terry Bradshaw Xmas album?? i'm NOT kidding - he made one!!

Live365 (mentioned below) also has a very cool acappella holiday channel, run by a friend of mine whom I used to sing with.

Live365.com usually has at least 3 different christmas stations (classical, jazz, pop) and often many more. And not too heavy with the station plugs.

However, it's too early! after thanksgiving! :-D

Totally unrelated question for you: do you still have the instructions from Lynn's bonnet-making class this summer? if so, could you bring them Saturday, so's I could borrow & copy? I appear to have lost mine, and want to finish it for Faire... :-(

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll check them out. The radio station that I used to listen to for Christmas music started on Nov. 1. Besides, if you want in the correct "Happy Christmas" mode by the time Dickens actually starts, I need to get busy getting into the spirit.

As for the bonnet class stuff... After the class, we moved and then I spent 6 weeks at my moms' house recovering from shoulder surgery. I have NO idea where any of that stuff is. Sorry. I was planning on using my hat from last year and working on a new one in the quiet time AD (After Dickens).

I will only let you know the answer to this once we have reached the Christmas Holiday season ... which does not start until after Thanksgiving. (There is a reason that Santa is at the *END* of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.)
