I like the new beginning of part 10. You match the characters of Kate and Gibbs very good. This is

Kate take the phone call with her father, the reaction from her dad and the to expecting reaction from her mom not so well. We already get this from her rambling in Part 8 for example but also her reaction to the doctor. She takes such reaction pretty much to her heart. But Gibbs is good for her. She feels more comfortable with him. His presence calms/is good for her her. See part 8 or the end of part 5.
Gibbs is more relax in this matter. It has happened the way it did and they are together in this situation and will deal with this together. He wants to be there for her. For him is important that Kate is fine/healthy but also more comfortable + relaxed. Her parents and their reactions are not so important like his "Katie". Gibbs care much about his people and especially the people he love but also protective.
Hiatus I+II, Twilight, Killing Ari I + II, Swak prove it on the series. On your fanfic proves the parts 8-10 and end of part 5. That he cuts her rambling of with a kiss (part 8 - doctors office), his reaction to the fact that Tony and Abby calls her non stop (Part 8+9), he and her take a nap together (part 9),.... and part 10 of course.
The chance are not bad that there will be a conflict between Gibbs and Mr.+ Mrs Todd. Not only because the fact that Kate`s parents does not like the whole situation. They will say/show Kate what they think about this. Probably very clear. This is will hurt / stress Kate. I don`t think Gibbs will get them away with this. He cares to much about Kate and his (unborn) kids.
I like the interactions between Kate and Gibbs so much.
