This past Saturday at the "one stop shopping" dealio, the parent of a freshman asked me if I was Annie-lee Taylor. After replying yes, she went on to say how she knew me from River Oaks and that I used to sing. Later I started to think. I am a junior. I am sixteen. I am in high school. I am going to college soon. I can drive. I make life alterering decisions daily. I am now getting into the age where college is a major issue. The decision of what I am going to be doing for the rest of my life is slowly creeping up to the top of my priority list. I used to be a careless child not a worry in the world. Then, I decided to be nostolgic. I took out my first slideshow, the one I made before TJ left, and went back in time. All the memories started flooding back. Our group of best friends have now gone in different directions. Time is going by so quickly. And now it is almost time for another year of school.
On a tooootally different note, band has been awesome. The leadership team has been awesome. I have been on a band high lately. It is fabulous. And hearing Mr. P telling other people/directors, "This is a good band. We are going to do very well this year," is very encouraging. And being a woodwind, I spend just about the entire day with that man. He is so much fun. I don't know why he has been so happy lately, but it makes band a lot more enjoyable.
Saturday's fee day was ok. I had more fun before and after. Getting to be with Mrs. Light was fabulous though, I love her. Let me tell you that some of our band parents...when it comes to money...eeesh.
Playing on a playscape was something memorable. And the black shirt drawing heat issue, is most definately NOT a mental thing.
