You don't have to be a fan of HALO, know anything about its story, or anything of the sort to appreciate this.

Basically, a guy who makes very detailed HALO costumes took it upon himself to make a very nice "battle worn" helmet which he gave away to a guy who auctions off HALO stuff every year for Child's Play. This helmet is pretty fucking sweet with built in cooling and a neat feature that makes the visor go from not-see-through to see-through with a switch and some clever uses of LEDs. The details are hand painted and over-all this guy put a lot of time and effort into something that I would consider to be a work of art given the skill that I'm sure it took to make the thing in the first place.

This of course means that every talentless, basement dwelling, cheetos eating, shit-for-brains fuckwit on the internet needs to leave comments trying to tear this dude's work down. Wow.

Sometimes it doesn't pay to be both creative and good at what you do because there always seems to be haters out there with too much time on their hands.
