I didn't forget that yesterday was your birthday, but I didn't have the right light to take a shots of this until this morning. So, for your enjoyment, a long promised picture of my honeycomb teapot!
This is a more narrow shot than I wanted it to be, but it shows the detail on the body of the teapot nicely. I love the honeycomb cells, and I wonder if the maker actually pressed a honeycomb into the clay, just to get that clear impression...
You can see the vine twisted around the handle better here, and the leaf pattern on the pot. It has a creamer and a sugar bowl that goes with it, but today, just the teapot, as my salute to the "Teapot" series that brought us together, in that I friended you so I could read MORE of your stories and found a friend as well!
