How Does Your Garden Grow?
Very well, actually!!
*pauses to squee*
We've got tomatoes!!! And wee peppers!! And pears!!! The pumpkins are coming up and the sunflowers, and I've got FOUR moonvines coming up! WOOT!!!
Here's some tomatoes...
If we can keep the birds and the squirrels from stealing them, that is. And it's not even that they're eating them, per se, so much as they're sucking the juice out, because... we're still in a drought. No water for the animals. Guess we need to put out a bird bath or something.
And one of the bell peppers...
Lost a couple to cut worms, but I think I've solved that one.
Here is a cucumber vine from a variety we're trying that will be yellowish and round! Can't wait to see how they turn out!!
So far, lots of flowers, but no fruit. I may have to grab a couple of cotton swabs and make "Bzzzz! Bzzzz!" noises while I hand-pollinate them!
The pears...
We thought this was an apple tree until this spring, when I finally had a nose clear enough to sniff the blossoms and PHEWWWW!!! Stinky!! So totally not apples!!! *laughs*
So far, so good, eh?
