*gulp* applying for a new job

Sep 11, 2006 22:02

i'm applying for a new job, and since i don't think i've EVER gotten a job by submitting a résumé, i don't have a lot of confidence in this. but i need to get back into that whole looking-for-a-job-that-pays-enough-to-live-on-cape-cod thing. it's a start.

i would say i'd keep you apprised, but i suck and i probably won't.

Good luck to thee, the world of CV's is always a scary one. If all goes wrong remember its not illegal to eat them if no one finds the body...

Good luck with the job-hunting thing! I've reviewed some resume`s at work, so I've gotten an idea of the types of things bosses look for on them. If you'd like, I can look over it. Of course, I only really know what engineering bosses are looking for, so that might not be the same everywhere, but it's interesting to see the kinds of things a potential hirer will notice and use to justify summary shredding of a resume`.
