Cosplay Conundrum
So, my aunt and uncle just sent me a generous check, and after buying two posters from ebay I realized I should save the rest of the money for my Anime Boston Cosplay, and Anime Boston itself.
So the question is, who am I going as?
I think the cheapest, easiest, and most mobile costume would be the Nostalgia Critic. I mean, I have jeans and shoes already, I'm going to goodwill tomorrow and can find a tie, suit jacket, and white shirt there ... and there's a good looking hat on ebay I can buy with one click right now ... it won't take long to assemble, and I'll be able to walk around comfortably in it for hours at a time. And some people will recognize who I am.
But I kinda wanted to go as something ... I dunno, more elaborate? Cooler? Recognizable? This is my second con ever, and my first multi-fandom con ever.
Then again, I'm not really into as many anime shows as I'd like to be, and there's going to be people there who put so much time an effort into their costumes, and some people who flip out about people who don't take cosplay as serious business ... so going as the NC will protect me from that stuff. And protect my wallet. I love dressing up but I'm not very good at sewing and stuff. So I should probably stick to something relatively easy. Even though lots of my friends are going as elaborate things and going together in a fancy group and leaving me out no I'm not bitter.
