jaa ne = not so much "goodbye" but more of a jaunty, informal "see ya." Spelled in Japanese as じゃあね.
ETA: Moshi-moshi is a telephone-only "Hello?" It is pronounced more or less like you said - Japanese occasionally drops its vowels when they come at the end of a word, like desu is pronounced "dess." You can pronounce the vowel, but it must be barely audible, so "hello?" comes out as "moe-sh'mowsh." (Always long os.) Spelled もしもし.
Can I just ask? See, this is why I can't really get into Heroes...what the balls is the purpose of even keeping Sylar alive? I mean, he killed Nathan, right? You'd think the Petrellis would be a bit perturbed by that, yes? My husband tried to pass it off as "well, he's in politics, they have to keep him alive" and I'm all "No. People die all the time. They even get murdered. Even political figures. Shit happens, kill the fuck out of Sylar! Don't sit there playing Brother Dress-Up with his mind. That's stupid."
How do you hate horror? Horror is awesome! I'm sure it is, I just get panic attacks from watching it and throw up. Not good for me.

I agree that what happened with the Sylar + Nathan = Nathlar thing at the end of last season was ... there are no words to describe it. 'Ass-pull' 'ridiculous' and 'WTF?!' all come to mind, but none are able to encompass how truly ... ACK that was. V4 was actually pretty good up UNTIL that, then I had to re-classify the volume in my head as on-par with V2.
S1 - starts slow, becomes fantastic, stays that way til the end V2 - great ideas, cut short by the WGA Strike and all kinds of cool ideas about the plauge and Maya got derailed. *sighs* V3 - WE SHALL NOT SPEAK OF IT EVER AGAIN. V4 - almost got the show's legs back, got pretty good, ended VERY BADLY.
While I'm glad that Sylar is alive, I'm pissed that they keep screwing with his character. He's a SERIAL KILLER. We loved him when he was going around murdering people for powers and being Eeeeeeevil! and having delicious subtext with Mohinder. Don't redeem him, don't give him more parental issues, don't make him Peter's half-brother, don't turn him into a Cylon. KEEP HIM EEEEEEEVIL. Not stupid-evil, or mopey-evil, or 'I did it because I never knew my daddy!' evil. Just EEEEEEVIL. He got too many powers and then they made him stupid. HE'S NOT STUPID. Re-watch Season 1, most of the stuff he did was BADASS and TERRIFYING, and we didn't even see his face until episode 10!
I agree that Adrian Pasdar is a fantastic actor. But if it's time for a character to die, you KILL THEM. Same goes for Niki/Jessica/Tracey. We all know Ali Later is hot, but her characters have had good deaths, and the higher-ups simply refuse to let her stay dead. Heaven forbid we bring back D.L., the only positive father-figure the show has created, but keep the hot chick!
*end rant* If you want to get into the show I highly reccomend Season 1. It starts slow, but it gets great. Continue after S1 at your own risk.
