Yay!
Well, a couple of things. The first one that has me in such a good mood is that I start work tomorrow! I'm just training, so it'll only be a few hours a week at first, but by December, I should have a full 20 hrs/week. And then I'll have some money! I can actually chip in for things, and save a little bit. That thought thrills me like no other.
The other thing is, they installed the new carpet. And while we hated it at first, we've now decided the color (light brown) really opens the place up and makes it look cleaner. The old carpet, while much plusher and stain resistant, was blue-gray, and implied dingy. Also, the whole disposal/mold/carpet brouhaha turned out to be a huge blessing in disguise. It provided the necessary motivation to finally get the boxes out of our bedroom and living area. Although they're now all in the closet, that's okay! They've been consolidated, and labeled. It's like perfect, neatly stacked tetris. Our apartment is so organized, in fact, that it almost feels sterile. Also, the blankness of the walls is now strikingly apparent. One of these days, we're going to have to spring for some decor...
