The video card IS overheating. The FAN on the heatsynch isn't spinning. That's not supposed to happen.
The warrenty on it is for 3 years. So, off it's going to be shipped to the manufacturer for RMA warrenty repair. If they can't repair it, they replace it with an equal or greater card. I hope they send me back the same one I have (whether it's a new version of it or not), because I did rather exhaustive research before making the decision to purchase the Radeon 9800 pro. The only other card I'd rather have is the X800.
Jason (brother in law), is offering to lend me one of his Vid Cards so I can at least use my computer and play WoW. WoW to me is like most people's Televisions/cable -- it's my primary form of entertainment.
At least the problem is identified. The upgrades that are now en route to me won't/wouldn't have solved the issues. So, I just spent money on things I didn't really need. Ah well. The replacement MB and Chip will solve a few non-critical issues I've been having the computer of late (like the LACK of USB device recognition).
