Car service guy called me around noon, which I let go to voicemail. I forgot about the call until 4:30. Oops. His message was: "Uh...there's been a miscommunication. Could you call me?" Called him back. The miscommunication was between him and the car tech guy, who assumed he was to align, lube and inspect the brakes. (Apparently it was the alignment that was off by 26%, and they 'recommend' 25%.) He started off with a "So, there's been a miscommunication, and the technician aligned and lubed your breaks." Silence on my end. "So, I don't know what we do about this," he says. I say, "Well, is the car ready? I'd like to pick it up today." He fumbles a bit, tries something else to get me to say "I'll pay for the service I don't want", but eventually conceded with a "Well, We'll take care of the break cost." I simply say, "That's good, because I don't feel responsible for paying for a service I didn't authorize."

So, I'm aligned now, and the incesant dinging of the Seat Belt Light has stopped. Yay.
