Holy Crap, Lions!
reasons why today kicked ASS:
- got to see andy for the first time since may
- it's his birthday today! or, was.
- red sox game with andy, ashley, matt, and anna
- MY PARENTS showed up within 5 minutes of us getting to our seats -- they drove 6 hours last night to surprise us, tracked down our seats by looking up matt's username on ebay, and the only person who knew at all was anna. we were all SO surprised.
- this means that the entire immediate family was there. this NEVER happens.
- i bought andy a beer. was gonna get a guinness but they sold out (yay multitudinous irish red sox fans!), so i got him a mgd, and didn't get carded. then i told my parents about and my mom laughed and my dad clapped me on the back and said good job.
- THERE WERE SO MANY RED SOX FANS THERE THAT IT FELT LIKE FENWAY. seriously. i felt like i was sitting with my whole family, in boston, watching the red sox play in fenway. every good sox play was cheered, every player, every run, we all booed the yankees when they came on the jumbotron, AMAZING. this was like that indians game where me and about five hundred other people throughout the stadium stood up to cheer for david ortiz's homerun, but TIMES TWENTY THOUSAND!!!! BECAUSE THEY WERE ALL RED SOX FANS!!!!!
- our seats were in right/center field, right by johnny damon, so i got to watch him make spectacular plays, and trot over to us while warming up. not to mention ortiz, manny ramirez, renteria, trot nixon, mueller, jason varitek, david wells...
- and our seats were directly next to (and level with) the red sox bullpen, which was self-explainatorily fantastic.
- did i mention my entire family was together...
- andy's name was on the jumbotron! lt. andy lillis, haha
- maggie' moore's afterward, our new irish pub downtown, best ever, perfect conversation, my liberal sensibilities only got mocked once. maybe twice. that's a record.

in short, perfect. absolutely perfect.
and tay is gonna come visit me and ashley in october!! we'll share her for the weekend :) i'm so excited to see home people, i miss them already. and i was just home last weekend haha.
tonight mags had a theta date party, so marg ea and i stayed in the suite, and we went INSANE. i haven't laughed so hard since the first time i saw monty python holy grail, or perhaps than the first time i got high. wickedridiculous. i offer you three links:

we played them separate. we played them together. we played them in rounds. we played them from the other room. we played them for drunk maggie and matt when they got back. holy shit it was hysterical. take the llamas and kenya tigers and play them side by side at the same time.... i literally went insane. you could have committed me.
sharon and i have a reading party date tomorrow, i haven't seen her in so long and i miss my homewood loves.
been keeping up on my work/reading. haven't missed a class except for last monday morning post-surgery, but i thought i deserved that.
