Thoughts of Turducken and Black Friday

Went to TRU last night. They had a whole bunch of stuff marked down, but when I scanned them in, they all came up a regular price. Went to talk to a sales associate, but he told me that whatever it scans in at is the price. I was like, "no...what you advertise is the price.." Anyway I ran into my friend who is the manager there, apparently he was told to take care of me since I am a pretty good customer. but I ended up putting everything back. I know things are going to get crazier this time of year regardless of the economic downturn.
I still want to go out and shop on Black Friday, but I am not sure what the future brings. So far I have had to lay off two of my designers and depending on how the stock market treats us...more layoffs may come.
I am glad I have back ups like teaching and freelance, but not all of my staff have those options.

Went to sleep watching season 7 of scrubs. love that show. I can definitely relate to all those characters and can easily assign myself and my friends to someone on the show. At work we often joke that crap that goes on would be a solid show. I think that would be true of any work environment. The interesting thing is that everyone thinks they would be a great lead and could see how this person and that person would be a good support character to drive the plot. Maybe we all should think of ourselves as support characters and help others take the lead.
meh.

Another year and another turducken is on the way. This year we are going to an acquaintance of my sister, it should be fun and maybe then I can gather a squad for Black Friday.

Happy Thanksgiving all.
