Huge NYC Picture post, part 2

So today we went to Ground Zero. There really isn't anything to see there except a gigantic dusty hole in the ground surrounded by suspended walkways leading to nowhere and streets ending at the giant hole. When you walk up to it, it's just so erie. I got off the bus a couple blocks away in front of the oldest building in the city, a church surrounded by a graveyard. walking along the sidewalk, you can tell things just aren't right, there's fences around and it doesn't look like an average constuction site. When you come up on the site, you start to see the hole. It's just one huge, gaping hole surrounded in dirt, the debris has long been cleared. The makeshift walkways around it, the damaged buildings... it's all so weird to see. That whole area just seems dead now.

One thing I deeply regret is that we were unable to see any Broadway shows. This all thanks to us not wanting to pay full price beforehand and then being late for the half price same day ticket booth and not wanting to wait in the two-hour line.

On a side note:
My cruise leaves tomorrow. I probably wont be online until next saturday night (the 17th). Bye!
