пока первый роман “The Dream”, хотя вообще-то собиралась начать на пенсии. Оказывается, У. Бион считал её научной фантастикой. Между прочим, довольно увлекательно; в числе персонажей есть Шерлок Холмс, д-р Уотсон, пр. Мориарти, Майкрофт Холмс, Память (или Воспоминание), сам Бион в как минимум двух вариантах (Bion и Myself), Alice, а также некто Robin, который подозрительным образом появляется сразу после того, как упоминается птичье пение.
Mathematics are no longer an adequate model for representing unconscious. Real people must learn to coexist with imaginary creations, since the latter are to play a role much like the part played by the negative numbers which broke with the tyranny of real numbers. The characters of a novel or in the theatre can be 'thoughts without a thinker'. While they seem to be real, they are the product of something like hallucination. The character 'Bion' is identified with a hallucinating patient as the author demonstrates that he is simply a construction of the text. All the characters of The Dream attempt to work through the catastrophic changes experienced by the author, as he considers that his life and experience are relevant to humanity in general. The author tries to give form to the future by working through the emotional turbulence of the past.

Все персонажи “The Dream” пытаются проработать катастрофические изменения, пережитые автором, который убежден, что его жизнь и опыт имеют значение для всего человечества. If psycho-analysis intuition does not provide a stamping ground for wild asses, where is a zoo to be found to preserve the species? Conversely, if the environment is tolerant, what is to happen to the ‘great hunters’ who lie unrevealed or reburied?
