things that are pretty awesome
Haha, this isn't a post about real life yet. If I wrote about school, I would just get depressed.
So instead of that, have a post about things that are AWESOME:
PHILOSOPHY: Maybe you've seen this before. My roommate showed it to me the other day and like, honestly, I think that this is the closest that anything's gotten to my personal beliefs on life and death and reincarnation. Even if you don't believe in that kind of thing, it's still a super trippy read and totally worth five minutes of your time! :D
SCIENCE: TODAY ONE OF THE GRAD STUDENTS IN MY LAB TOLD ME ABOUT A PROTEIN NAMED POKEMON. IT CAUSES CANCER. I want to meet the guy who turned "POK Erythroid Myeloid Ontogenic factor" into POKEMON and tell him that he is seriously my HERO.

ART: piratea showed me this a while ago and it's probably one of the coolest things I've seen done with a website. It's a randomly generative program sketching out a sequence of dreamlike events that functions as really really interesting art. Seriously, if you're in the mood to tilt your head and go "huh, that's actually really cool" it's definitely worth the few min of your time.
MUSIC: While not listening to the Glee version of Teenage Dream on repeat I found this amazing AMAZING band Miike Snow and this is my favorite song, Sans Soleil and seriously, if you are into good music, especially for studying or writing, just toss them on repeat and GO. Oh look, it's a link to his CD oops how did that get there?
