Writer's Block: If Animals Could Talk

I found that I had to answer this and was extremely ironic considering the events that took place last night.

I would have to ask my dog what is she thinking when she runs away from us?
Do you just black out and not realize that we're trying to call you and catch you?
Or do you just feel the need to run?
