the only good thing going for facebook are the status updates, which of course are useless in my boring friends' hands - but with some imagination (and copying/pasting plot summaries at tcm.com) you can make some interesting ones:

Brian steals up the stairs, kills the old man and kidnaps Elora. Soon after, Gale arrives and upon finding Stillwell's body notifies Luz that Elora is an imposter.

Brian drives to a complex of gasoline tanks overlooking a freeway, climbs atop one of the tanks, eats his lunch, and begins shooting people in the passing cars.

Brian escapes from Dice's gambling ship and anonymously notifies the police and then, to avoid the clutches of the mob, gets sentenced to prison for slugging a cop.

Brian attempts to convince Mary that she has been dreaming, but the doctor examining her finds evidence that there really was a corpse and alerts FBI agent Shelby.

Brian tries to hypnotize Natascha back into submission but is interrupted by the czarina, who finally sees his evil. She tells him that his influence is over.

Brian indulges himself with two teenaged would-be models who visit his studio, but inevitably, he is drawn back to the park where he finds the dead body of the man.

Brian takes poison, though Jerry goes to the reception and brings back David, who sees her die happy. Jerry is rewarded however, with a promise of marriage from Tony.

Brian proceeds to evolve from an egg into a rampaging beast, Guilala, capable of searing through metal and absorbing the energy from nearby power plants.

...not that anyone bothers reading other people's status updates.

i always look forward to your status updates.

if you've missed me, i'm sorry i haven't been around. the dust's starting to settle now. i'll write soon, but probably not here. i really upset myself reading over old entries a while back, and still haven't gotten over the embarrassment. were we always this relentlessly critical of ourselves? i think it's cute.
