8 week well-baby visit
Meghan had her 8 weeks well-baby visit this morning. In a nutshell, she is doing just fine and is on track as far as growth and development go. She weighs 10lbs 8.4 oz (was 7.15 at last month's visit!), and her height is 1' 10.25". I saw a different doctor today than last week (it's a group) and he was very pleased with her progress. I told him that she had been consistently sleeping an average of 11-12 hours through the night and he said that was fine because she is getting plenty to eat during the day. She takes 4 oz every 2 hours. He said what a good eater she was.
She received 4 vaccines today and did very well with them. Of course she cried after each shot (one vaccine she drank) but she hasn't showed any signs of a low-grade fever or any distress since then.
I told him that her reflux had gotten so much better since she started taking the Axid last month and since I started her on Enfamil A.R. formula a few weeks ago. He seems to think she'll eventually outgrow it and we'll be able to take her off the medication, but for now, we're going to continue it.
He told me to keep up the good work and that made me feel happy :)
