I guess I should Update too...

Aislyn is 3 weeks old today, she's perfectly healthy and was back to her birthweight by her 1 week appointment.  My husband is going to take his parenity leave in a week which will be awesome, I get so much done when he's around.  I have to take a moment to gush about my husband.  The other day I left him with a 3 ounce bottle of EBM fed Aislyn (she nursed for an hour) and went for groceries.  Apparently she started fussing and took the bottle about 10 minutes after I left then cried until I got home, not once did he call me and tell me to come home NOW, he did his best to comfort her and then handed her to me when I got home.  I think she just missed me because she stoped crying the second I had her in my arms (which is a change she usually cries for Daddy).  Not only did he not complain about being left with a screaming baby for an hour he also forces me to nap when he'd home.  He knows I usually am up around 6am and wide awake so when Aislyn goes down in the afternoon for four hours he'll send me to bed and won't wake me up until she's hungry, if she wakes up and needs changing he does it, or she just needs cuddles he cuddles with her.  I can't believe how helpful he is.

We've been breastfeeding and that's going well, she gets the occaisional bottle of EBM for her dad and so far no nipple confusion though she does show a prefrence for the real thing.  Other then the odd bout of gas she really isn't fussy, she sleeps for four hour stretches (I know I'm lucky) and is immpossible to wake up.  I'm shocked she sleeps through pretty much everything.

I call this one 'follow through'  "Mommy said if you spit that out and cry because you want it she'll tape it there and what did you do"  I only left it there long enough to take the picture then I felt bad... my husband laughed
