Percy settled himself into a seat by the window, but had yet to open the menu that had been placed before him. His eyes looked out the window absently at the people passing by, though he did not truly see them. His mind was on the owl he had received that morning, a rather mysterious bit of parchment from the hand of Madame Malfoy herself requesting his presence for lunch on a matter that to her must have been of some importance.
He had not seen her for many weeks, and he was the first to admit what an oversight that was. She had shown him kindnesses which had earned her a portion of his trust. However, with the death of Scrimgeour and the rise of Thicknesse, he had been rather preoccupied, not to mention the injuries and escapes of members of his family.
He heard the tinkling of the bell at the front door and looked up to witness the lady's arrival. He immediately rose up as the gentleman he was raised to be, and made a small bow in her direction as she was escorted to his table by the waiter.
"Good day, Madame Malfoy," he greeted her.
