"Severe damage to the cranial meninges and a sectumsempra'ed spine, he's gone."

"Lacerations, this one first. Get me that clotting potion!"

"Eat this...."

"... Eat this..."

Eddie walked through the halls in a daze, death and mental anguish surrounding him.

"He was Kissed, I can't..."

Snap.

All he could do was break off little bits of chocolate and hand them to people. It was cold in the hallway, his washed out grey eyes watching the monotone hall as Medi-witches covered a body. He saw Cho, working in overdrive...

He focused on the cold. The cold would keep him grounded. he could feel frost on his cheek... frost was good. Frost meant he was still alive. He tasted blood... that too was good. He forced himself to open his eyes, as memories swarmed back on him.

He had whipped around to cast his Patronus at a trio of Dementors killing a group of huddled Muggles. He was summoning his best memory... being taken to the Royal Library... when one of the Dementors was able to cut him down. He had hit the ground and bashed his head on... Merlin.. he didn't even know.

He rolled onto his backand grasped his wand. "Expecto Patronum!" White wisps of bubbly white rushed from his wand, repelling a Dementor away to the edge of its energy. "Expecto. Patronum!" From the energy, again his salmony Patronus burst forth. He took the chance to hobble up into a standing position, though he felt woozy. He gripped his head, and felt the crusting warmth of his wound.
