Wedding
Well, the wedding is over. First off, Mackinac Island is not that exciting of a place. The extent of things to do consists of walking through town (a bunch of tshirt and fudge shops), seeing the old war fort, and riding bikes the 8 miles around the island. You can't even go inside the Grand Hotel (the hotel in the movie Somewhere in Time) without paying $12. So, that part wasn't very exciting. The drive wasn't bad at all. 2 stops, 8 hours on the way up and 7hrs and 20 minutes on the way back. In all, the total time it takes to go one way to South Carolina in 2 weeks. (joyful thought, not). On Saturday, the day of the wedding, it was raining and dark out all day and then it got sunny for the 45 minutes that we were outside for the ceremony (well, it was only about 20 minutes). At dinner I had to give the toast, against my will mind you, but I was told what to say so it was ok. Molly's family is HUGE. She has 10 brothers and sisters and they are all married with kids. Most of them were there. Needless to say I hung out with the little kids all weekend. But they are such great kids and I LOVED hanging out with them. (and they loved me too, they told me so). Maybe I should be a teacher after all.
Well, I worked yesterday. The train schedule was all screwed up and downtown was like a ghost town. Today I have no plans except to go to my aunts house and maybe see Christine later.
Movie update: Saw Failure to Launch last night, it was pretty good. Some odd random parts, but ok.
Book update: Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister- pretty good
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest- Ok, well, good I guess, I'm glad we didn't have to read it for school or I would have hated it.
I started reading a book for school, but then I bought the Devil Wears Prada cause someone told me the movie was really good and I want to read the book before I see the movie. So, I'm reading that now.
