It is time to run off at the keyboard.
I went to work today without out benefit of cellphone or wristwatch. I forgot the phone but seeing it's become an accumulator of unused minutes, and was always near civilization, there was no panic. Oh, yes. There is that occasional call home to check on the cats, but they never answer. It could have something to do with the ringer being disabled.
In a related matter, I am pleased to not that the Oscars and AMPAS might actually be developing a sense of taste and dignity I, for one, enjoyed the lack of glamourpussi and a slew of intelligent films* that do not pander to moronia. On the other hand, I was actually disappointed that NORBIT didn't get the makeup
trinket. This was the first Oscar show I've viewed in many years and am most grateful to my gracious hosts
A and E. My behavior? Paranoia tells me there was an inebriated miscue or two but this shouldn't hinder an invite in '09.
As can be expected, the subject of Oscars usually leads to snowblowers and this, this entry is no different.
Trudging home through the wintery snows (as opposed to those tropic snows), I passed no fewer than than four blowers of snows using , well, blowers of snows (it is important at this point to note my coworker's spouse makes delightful truffles). Snowblowers emit the most intolerable of all monoxidous*
exhaust. Watching the owners struggle just as badly as they would with a shovel brings a smug, knowing smirk to my puss.
Correct. Woody Allen's early "funny" films are nowhere near as humorous as SCOOP.
* I am not sure if this is a word. The spellng check informs me that a possible replacement could be "Mongoloids." While this might be correct in spelling it is not correct in politici (another word which needs checking.
